ReliaTrust simplifies telecommunications management through the integration of SNMP tools with the Network Control Center (NCC). In accordance with Service Level Agreements, the management services includes the following core elements:
- Implementation of a proactive monitoring system using tools such as HP OpenView.
- Tracking, dispatch, and escalation of all tickets in a common Help Desk system.
- Development of strict performance metrics to validate current levels of network performance and to identify thresholds to detect poor performance or potential network equipment casualties.
- Cooperation with external solver groups in accordance with established Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), defining how two or more solver groups must collaborate to resolve problems and meet overall SLAs.
- Implementation of processes and procedures for triage, repair, replacement, or workarounds.
- Implementation of an
escalation process that focuses attention on the
incident in sufficient time to resolve it before
it causes a deficiency.
To ensure close cooperation with the network administration and management efforts, ReliaTrust will integrate the Telecommunications management with the Network management to ensure a clear path of data to and from end-users.
